LOL.. In my mind!!!

Haven't been blogging as haven't had much to say really...I finally found out I'm keeping my position at work which was a huge relief... and since then life has been a blur!!!!!Of Nowt, Sod all and bugger all.. I've had so little energy that I've been doing zip.. bar surf the net and watch trashy tv...I really must get some housework done today.. but what have I done instead.. browse facebook, started by looking at my Bro's photos of oz.. and got sucked into it...WARNING:THAT THERE T'INTERWEB IS BAD FOR YOUR HABITAT HYGIENE!!!! 2 hours later here I am, what do I have to show for it..just this lil meez... LOL it's me in me dreams... couldn't quite work out how to fit a lardy arse..so will have to have the sylph like figure of my dreams!!!LOL... Bloomin eck Loose Women's on... my day is disappearing fast... better run round with a duster and pretend to be the perfect housewife!!!

A day out with the family...

Had a lovely day yesterday.. Mam and I took Z man off to Newcastle so he could spend some of his birthday cash that had been burning a hole in his pocket.. We had a little saunter round The Baltic first.. fab fab modern art that I totally don't understand but some of it was fascinating, funny and just quirky... Loved it.. My fave piece ( or whatever you call it!!LOL) was a series of photos taken by the band The Kills which was in the Dazed and Confused exhibition.... just loved it..can't find any pics to show.. actually I loved most of the Freakshow gallery too. that was actually quite thought provoking and was a bit of a tongue poking look at what we see in natural history museums, ooh then there was a really dark, funky exhibit downstairs by Fabien Vershaere and a strangely captivating documentary about ukranian mudbaths!!!??I!!..ooh and the most gorgeous handwriting on the exhibition by Graham Dolphin-album covers and adverts with the teeniest tinest text on them.. Anyway I clould witter on about it all for ages and I would sound pants as I din't kna what I's gannin on aboot! ooh must add they had loads of fab fab Lomo cameras in the gift shop.. after my lil play with that photoshop action I have become quite interested in finding out more about Lomo photography.. love lovin the effect..
Then we went for lunch at the tapas bar I reved about a few weeks ago.. soooooo disappointing.. really naff this time, wish we'd gone to wagamama which was our first suggestion!? But have promised z man we'll do it in the hols...
And the rest of the afternoon was spent with the lil fella kitting himself out with some cool summer togs and yet more dvd's and games!!! Groan.....At least he managed to spend a whole day away from the computer while we were shopping!LOL

Oh and I managed to pick myself up this lovely pair of beauties!!!! 10 squid in the Office sale..how could I resist.. darn my inexplicable cherry obsession!!!!

OOh had a great afternoon this afternoon faffing about with a free photoshop action I downloaded here Addicted to designs.. it's just fantastic for my New York shots.. really makes my naff photos look fab.. well I love the effect anyway..



OK really should have done some housework today but am soooo knackered.. think I'll stay on the couch.. might have a crack at making/decorating my album for the All My Own Work Challenge... but still can't decide what to use.. might wait till first journalling/page point and see where it sways me

Just had to post.. after my wallowings of self pity about work.. lookie here All My own work.. weekly challenges based on a work theme... perhaps the perfect project at the mo.. LOL.. now for some time off work to play along!!!

Hellooooooooo

Well.. can't believe it's been so long since I posted... been working like tons, which means I can't get my groove back on.. house is a tip, hardlys see the boys at the mo...and scrapping, what the heck is that..Can't wait till this uncertain time is over and I can start easing into one of the new shift patterns ( I have my fingers crossed that I'm not in the permanent days category) and get on track with life again..

Shouldn't we work to live.. not live to work.. ugh

Anyway am toying with the idea of maybe going to a local crop on Saturday.. would be my first real life crop ( apart from Center Parcs and Scrappers paradise, but they were weekendy things)...think it might be the only way I get some scrapping done.. remove myself from the house so don't feel guilty about not doing hw...will have to check whether Mr B can take me.. I dunno.. I'll probably change my mind at the last moment.. so haven't contacted the organiser.. may just nip in as a late runner! LOL.. Toodle ooh for now.. break is over, best get back before the whip is out!

This is my incentive..My ScrapRoom Kit.. This arrived Tuesday and am dying to play...but must get this house semi blasted before I can.. It's an odd lil quirk of mine.. and probably the reason I get not too much scrapping done. I can't relax and play while there's stuff to be done.. someone tell me how I break this horrid cycle ( cos there's ALWAYS something to be done...)
Anyhoo..sneakin on quick , now that I know peeps are reading (Hello to all!!!) suppose I best make an effort to post LOL!!!! am mid bedroom cupboard cleanout..the BIG CLEAN isn't going as quickly as planned!
Although that may be due to the fact have taken the opportunity to get some catching up done too.. Tuesday popped over to see one of my bestest pals.. and my gowgeous goddaughter... ( Hmm nearly posted a pic there and then realised had forgotten to ask permission.. oops!) had a some lunch and lovely catch up, it was the first time I had seen Thompa since she announced she's preggers!! Still no bump yet, but says she knackered..She thinks that's cos she's a bit older than when she had Grace.. Yikes.. that scare mes!! I was knackered at 19 with Zac.. how the heck am I gonna cope this time (well when it happens!?!)
Then last night went to see my matey chum Lindy Lous new house..Hurrumph! That's the sound of me leaving in digust at the bloody loveliness of it.. it's a fab homely home..absolutely hu-flippin-mungously huge.. but cosy at the same time.. Nee food in the cupboards like, so we had to pop out for tea (LOL!!) Me, Lind and Suzy Wong.. I really enjoy a catch up with these gals... proper good mates who I miss horribly at work.. If I have to go back to dayshift without them I'm not sure how I'll cope!

This week I am vowing to get back in the groove.. Lately everything seems to have slipped... the dull boring housework, the even duller washing & ironing..my exercise classes and swimming ( gym visits are are far too distant memory!!).. I seem to be frittering money away on snacks & eating crap at work cos my meal planning & shopping isn't getting done.....even niceties like popping to see matey chums and scrapping seem to be on the back burner..
Sooooooo I've hit that point ( I get to it once in a while!) and it's time to get busy....I'm on rest week from work ( possibly my last... eeeek!) so I'm gonna make the most of it and get my groove on...I know I can fit it all in if I just make an effort/time... and once all the dull stuff is outta the way I can play.. Hoorah!!!
